Moniepoint's marketing problem isn't awareness — the blue terminal is on every counter in Lagos. The problem is meaning. Fintech advertising in Nigeria is a wall of identical claims: fast settlement, low fees, reliable uptime. Features. Specs. Noise. When everyone says the same thing, nobody is saying anything.

So we went looking for the thing only Moniepoint can claim, and found it in plain sight: scale itself. Most of the everyday transactions in Nigeria already pass through Moniepoint. The student's airtime, the trader's change, the okada fare, the shop's daily sales — somewhere in the middle of all of it sits the same infrastructure.

That's not a feature. That's a role. And a role is something you can own.

The strategy is built on one persona, drawn from how the product is actually used: the everyday merchant. Their relationship with payments isn't aspirational — it's existential. A failed transaction with a customer standing at the counter isn't an inconvenience. It's a lost sale, a lost customer, and a small humiliation. Every message in the campaign is written to that fear and its opposite: the quiet confidence of infrastructure that simply works.
